Kathy Barnes - Receptionist-
Abdullah Arsala - Orthodontic Assistant-
As a recent New York City transplant ( by way of the Washington, DC – metro area), I am eager and excited about my future here with Dr. Andolino. After four year in the dental and orthodontic fields, I have gained both a solid foundation for my professional ascent and a renewed sense of pursuit. As an active member in the ever-changing field of orthodontics I look forward to advancements and progressions that will foster my interest s while cultivating your best smile.
A newfound resident of the lower East Side and proud parent to a cat named Dawg, I find Dr. Andolino's office to be an unlikely Midtown solace in a city charged with chaos.
Melissa Jaglall - Orthodontic Assistant-
After exploring various types of careers I became an orthodontic assistant. I feel my career is exciting and challenging because every day is a learning experience. After ten years of working as an orthodontic assistant I've seen many new technologies in orthodontics. I am continuously taking courses and attending seminars to maintain my orthodontic skills. The greatest part of my job is seeing the satisfaction on each patient's face when their treatment is completed- that's when I know that I've helped someone feel better about themselves.
Besides being an orthodontic assistant, I love outdoor activities, especially during the summer. My activities include fishing, hiking, white water rafting, paintball, biking and just relaxing on the beach. I also love camping with my family.
Carrissa Prince - Orthodontic Assistant-
I was born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 20, 1980. I attended Unity Preparatory School and went on to Excelsior High School where I studied business and science. I always dreamed of doing something in medicine. I graduated high school at the age of 17 and migrated to the United States in an effort to make a better life for myself and my family. Life was not easy. I worked and studied to become better qualified and am now a certified orthodontic assistant. My husband and I have a beautiful daughter, Tryanna.
I plan to continue my education while working at Dr. Andolino's office with the hope of one day becoming an orthodontist myself.
Gabrielle Rivas - Laboratory Assistant-
My name is Gabrielle Rivas, better known as Gabby. I am a 21 year old college student studying to become a child and adolescent psychologist. I have been working part-time in Dr. Andolino's office as a laboratory assistant for 3 1/2 years. Working at Dr. Andolino's office has taught me a lot of new things. I enjoy working in the lab and also interacting with patients. The experience I have gained working in an orthodontic practice will be very helpful to me in the future.
My husband, Joe of 28 yrs and I just moved to Manhattan with our boxer Sadie. We are so excited to experience the city life. We have lived all of the US, so ask me if I have lived in your home state when you come in. We have two sons that are grown. Our oldest, Joe lives in Boulder, Colorado working at a top restaurant for Denver. Our youngest, Robert just graduated from Penn State and is looking for a position in marketing in Manhattan.
I am very excited to join Dr. Andolino's team and look forward to bringing my past practice management experience to you. My goal is to enhance your orthodontic experience.
My name is Kathy Barnes and I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle!) in Consumer Affairs and Business Administration. After spending the past four years in Virginia, my husband and I moved to Manhattan in July of 2009. We have two adopted dogs, an incredibly lazy hound and a sweet dachshund mix. I love living in New York and cannot wait to see the future adventures it will bring.
