Your Travel Toothbrush will become your best friend
Invest in a few toothbrushes! You will need to use one in between meals, so your meals don’t linger in your mouth longer than it needs to. Assuming you eat at least three times a day, you will need your travel toothbrush at least 21 instances in a single week.
You’ll have to limit your morning coffees
We recommend you limit the consumption of anything that will stain your teeth – coffee, red wine, tea – will stain your Invisalign. You will also have to factor coffee into your allotted time to eat and you always have to brush before you put your Invisalign trays back in.
You might lose weight
Mindless eating just is not an option when you’re using Invisalign. You have to brush your teeth after every meal, so when you get that 2pm snack craving, you’re forced to stop and ask yourself “Is it REALLY worth it?” You will become acutely aware of your senseless snacking, you will have more energy and sugar crashes will be a thing of the past!
Cleaning them with toothpaste is a no-no
Murky, yellow Invisalign tray is VERY noticeable. This can happen if you don’t brush post-meal, but it can also happen if you wash your Invisalign tray with toothpaste. Toothpaste contains abrasive ingredients that can cause buildup and odor. Wash your tray with mild detergent or soap instead.
